General Instructions for Applicants

Dear Applicant,

Thanks for your interest in MBA programmes offered by Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi. As you are preparing to submit your application, we wanted to highlight the following aspects of the eligibility criteria and the application process.

MBA:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
  3. A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  4. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if she/he submits a certificate by certain date.
  5. Those having applied to IIT Delhi MBA programmes on qualifying the CAT 2024 will be shortlisted and then invited for a interview, which will be held at IIT Delhi.

MBA (Telecommunication Systems Management):

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering (minimum 4 years after 10+2)

Or

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Physical/Chemical/Mathematical Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/ Economics, CA/ICWA.
  2. A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.00 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
  3.  A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  4.  Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Fee Details:
General, GEN-EWS and OBC:
Application fee for one programme: Rs 1600
Application fee for two programmes: Rs 3,200
SC/ST/PD 
Reduced fee for one programme: Rs 800
Reduced fee for two programmes: Rs 1600

After filling the application form, you need to upload the following documents:

  • Passport size Photograph
  • Signature
  • CAT score card of 2024

After shortlisting, you need to upload the following documents:

  • 10th Mark Sheet
  • 12th Mark Sheet
  • Graduation Mark Sheet of all Semesters
  • Consolidated Graduation Mark Sheet
  • Graduate Degree Certificate
  • CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate
  • Reserved Category Certificates like: OBC, GEN-EWS, SC, ST
  • Disability Certificate
  • Work Experience Proof
  • Photo ID Card
  • Achievement documents (Extracurricular: like achievements in academics, participation in international Olympiads, organizing / participating in academic or business conferences or events held at the institute premises / national level, achievements formally recognized by your organization during your work experience)
